Community Access to the Live Arts
The Capitol Theatre connects our community with incredible live arts experiences, across all disciplines and in both official languages.
Everyone belongs at the Capitol Theatre and we are proud to offer an inclusive space where all persons can connect through incredible performing arts experiences in our state-of-the-art facilities.
We partner with cultural organizations, educational institutions, nonprofits and businesses to create a positive impact within our community by offering the following programs.
The Capitol Theatre is now officially Rainbow Registered! This accreditation, administered by Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce is a testament to our commitment to creating a safer, more welcoming, and inclusive space for the 2SLGBTQI+ community. This means that whether you are a customer or a partner, you can expect a welcoming environment that respects and celebrates all individuals. We encourage you to visit RainbowRegistered.ca to explore other accredited businesses in our area and learn more about the program.
Designed in partnership with TD Bank, TD CONNECTS is a series of exciting performances that amplifies diverse voices in the arts and builds stronger connections in our communities.
Each TD Connects performance features a local nonprofit group who is invited to introduce themselves to our audience onstage before the show. TD Connects performances spotlight underrepresented artists in the arts and shine a light on the great work being done by our fellow nonprofit organizations.
2024-2025 TD CONNECTS Performances:
- Momemtum of Isolation - featuring United Way (October 3)
- Kellie Loder - featuring Alter Acadie (November 10)
- Maryna Krut - featuring Moncton Cares (March 6)
- The Peking Acrobats - featuring Petitcodiac Watershed Alliance (April 13)
This season, the Capitol Theatre is exploring an inclusion initiative called Pay It Forward. When purchasing tickets to the applicable shows, in addition to regular priced tickets, the following options will be offered:
The Supported rate is for those with lesser means and who don’t have the same opportunity to attend professional performances at regular prices (Students, unemployed, underwaged…)*.
The Supporter rate is for those who wish to pay it forward and help someone in need attend the show.
We hope this pilot program will increase access to the Capitol Theatre so that more people in our community can LOVE IT LIVE
*Limited quantities
2024-2025 PAY IT FORWARD Performances:

Our Pay What You Will performances invite guests to reserve a ticket through our box office (in person or on-line) free of charge. After the show, patrons leave the amount they wish in an envelope. This program serves two purposes: allows guests to attend performances regardless of their budget and encourages audience members to discover a variety of artists, more often.

- The China Syndrome (1979) - movie screening with live orchestra (November 3)
- Dufflebag Theatre - Peter Pan (December 28)

Our Arts Are For Everyone program partners with local organizations to make the arts accessible for their members by providing tickets throughout our season.
