About the Academy
The Academy fosters love of performing arts, creativity, collaboration, communication, self-confidence, identity building, inclusion and accessibility.
During the 1997 summer season, Marshall Button began an annual summer drama camp program. This was the genesis of what would become The Capitol School of Performing Arts in 2005. The following year, the School began offering year-round classes. A first community production was presented in 2008. In 2017, following a repositioning, a new name was chosen, L'Académie de théâtre du Capitol - The Capitol Theatre Academy with a new logo.
2023 - 2024 SEASON:

- One- or two-week summer camps in July and August: day camps for children and youth in French, English or bilingual.

The allocation of these bursaries is based on the applicant's financial need and the Academy's resources. All applications will be examined confidentially by our staff. The bursaries are funded by the Friends of the Capitol Campaign, the City of Moncton, the Town of Riverview, the Greater Moncton Progress Club and private donors.
