Art Opening - Vadim Shamanov
The public is invited to the opening of the new art exhibit Twilight Paradox by visual artist Vadim Shamanov at the Capitol Theatre Art Gallery on Wednesday, October 29th at 5 p.m.
Vadim Shamanov (born in 1973 in Ukraine) is an abstract artist who lives and works in Moncton. He has participated in numerous exhibits in Ukraine and Europe.
Vadim’s interest in fine arts, music, and photography originated in childhood, but it was painting that became the main way of self-realization. His inspiration mainly includes the music and art of great artists such as Richter, Nicolas de Staël, Kandinsky, and Pollock. As a way of self-expression, Vadim Shamanov chose abstract painting, which allows the author to convey his creative ideas through the color, form and texture of oil paint.
His abstract works are distinguished by layering, complex composition, as well as a desire for volume and depth. With the help of a subtle three-dimensional effect in his paintings, he establishes contact with his viewer. Constantly searching for new means of expression, he often experiments with materials and surfaces using steel sheets or OSB boards. His works are in private collections in Europe, the USA, and Japan.
The art exhibit by Vadim Shamanov will open on Wednesday, October 29th and will be shown at the Capitol Art Gallery in the Capitol Theatre Lobby at 811 Main Street in Moncton until January 5th, 2026. Entrance is free of charge.
