On October 28, IMPACTfest brings three remarkable contemporary dance works to the Capitol Theatre in a triple bill exploring ancestry, identity, connection and transformation.
Experience Santee Smith and Kaha:wi Dance Theatre’s cinematic and ritualistic Blood, Water, Earth; the World Premiere of AZURE, a captivating new work by Métis choreographer Jera Wolfe created on the dancers of Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada; and Sarah Prosper’s deeply rooted Ps+ke’kn Sqolj, an exploration of multigenerational memory, the body and our relationship with Mother Earth.
From striking imagery and intimate movement to powerful Indigenous perspectives and a brand-new world premiere, this is an evening designed to surprise, move and inspire.
